I am the Watcher. Forbidden to interfere in the affairs of mortals, I can only imagine alternative realities, alternate possibilities.
In one such reality, the forces of Order and Chaos are at war. Chaos, represented by a demon lord known as The Adversary, has warped Time itself in an attempt to destroy the Earth. Only the mutant Super-Heroes known as the X-Men stand between Chaos and total victory. But the X-Men must battle other enemies, as well: namely Freedom Force, a band of mercenary mutants hired to eliminate the X-Men at any cost.
I invite you to examine the infinite possibilities with me. You may select any combination of five X-Men from among 15 of the most powerful. And you may dictate each Super-Hero's actions, even in combat. Given such power, can you save the Earth?
Based on an actual X-Men adventure (issues 225-227), X-Men II: The Fall of the Mutants gives you complete control of the mutant crime fighters for exciting, strategy / arcade action.
- All five X-Men battle simultaneously in combat; you take control of any Super-Hero you want. Direct the attacks of one of your team members personally while issuing general orders to the rest. Real-time action and multiple opponents provide constant challenge.
- Nine Arch-Villains and six distinct groups of henchmen for the X-Men to overcome in each game, including Pyro, Stonewall, The Crimson Commando, Spiral and SuperSabre.
- Match your Super-Heroes against forces recruited by The Adversary from throughout Time: savage cave men, terrifying dinosaurs and ruthless modern day soldiers.
- Each game features 15 different locations where battles can be waged. These locations can remain the same, or be changed with each new game.
- From the creators of Spider-Man and Captain America in Dr. Doom's Revenge, X-Men: Madness in Murderworld and The Punisher.
