Description from the packaging.
Jumping Math Flash is an exciting, arcade-type program that gives players practice in four new and vital math operations. Each game has carefully sequenced levels of play designed to help students achieve mastery of the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. The fun-filled games infuse life into the drill and practice format and motivate youngsters to learn.
The program can be adjusted and customized to fit individual players abilities and levels of development. It can be used as a supplement to any basal math book and is designed for students working on the first to fourth grade level.
There are twenty-one levels of addition and subtraction practice and twenty-two levels of multiplication and division practice in Jumping Math Flash. Each student begins on Level A, which is the easiest. and progresses up to the next level, Level B, when the goal at Level A is reached. He/She continues to advance to subsequent levels as the goal at each level is met. Students are presented with twenty basic arithmetic problems on each level. Eighteen of the twenty problems must be answered correctly to reach the goal and progress to the next level. Students can choose to practice at any level as many times as they wish.
The program has an arcade-game format in which students are presented with arithmetic problems. To answer each problem, the students manipulate Jumping Math Flash around a maze of numbers until it comes to the correct answer. While going through the maze. Jumping Math Flash must avoid being touched by one of the sea creatures. The number of sea creatures increases as students move up in levels and the speed at which the sea creatures appear can be adjusted.
There is a top ten listing to reward students who have achieved the highest scores.
