Welcome to Deledain, an imaginary world ravaged by the torrents of war. The four lords of Deledain once ruled their kingdoms independently and peacefully, but a small border skirmish mushroomed into the destruction of their four lands. Lake a phoenix from the ashes, the evil Denethenor rose to dominate the weakened world.

You begin the game by taking on the role of the most unlikely of heroes, a scoundrel explorer out to pillage the war-torn countryside. However, with every successful raid on castle, town and village, you take another step closer to the ultimate battle with Denethenor, the prince of evil.

Wrath of Denethenor is a fantasy role-playing adventure game featuring superior graphics and programming plus a plot elaborate enough to hold the interest of even the most sophisticated adventurer. Animated magic spells and traps provide a visual spectacle, while elaborate sound effects complete the scene.

As you explore the world of Deledain, you will:

• Travel through the light of day and dark of night.
• Become a celebrated outlaw.
• Find a price on your head in villages and towns.
• Plan complex strategies to attack fortresses and rob banks.
• Do battle with an intelligent foe. Denethenor won't wait idly as you hunt him down. He comes after you!

Wrath of Denethenor features:

• Over 300K of game maps- every one of which must be explored to win the game.
• A unique role-playing system that doesn't limit you to a set character class. Be a sorcerer, thief and fighter all in the same game.
• Special visual traps throughout the game. Stumble into flooding chambers, collapsing walls and incineration devices.

These are the components of an FRP or fantasy role-playing game. Fantasy role-playing, simply put, means each player is given an alternate personality or role to play in a fictitious situation, played on a game board of no particular design or shape. The situation may be the saving of an imprisoned king, or the pillaging of an ancient tomb. The whole game is presided over by the Dungeon Master who invents the situation and calculates the success of the players through a system of player's manuals and probabilities that are decided by the roll of multi-faceted die.

It's an intricate, involving challenge, and now Sierra has made it better. With Wrath of Denethenor, the program takes on the role of the Dungeon Master and the computer calculates your probability to succeed as you play.

As the player, you become a thief and scoundrel in a fantasy world. There are many great adventures to be experienced, and an ultimate goal to achieve. During the course of the game, you may rob banks, pillage treasures of kings, initiate bar brawls and engage in sea battles. As you play, your character grows in skill and knowledge. You'll learn magic spells to move through locked doors, turn invisible or stop time. Wrath of Denethenor offers a universe in your computer where almost anything is possible.

Orcs.
Savage but stupid, orcs will attack any and all wandering adventurers. Though they often attack in groups, orcs are more nuisance than threat.

Dragons.
The land of Deledain is inhabited by many types of dragon. Some dragons have wings and can fly over mountain ranges to attack adventurers, other dragons have multiple heads and lurk in underground labyrinths.

Crachen.
Crachen are the Evil One's front line soldiers. These imp-like creatures can blind you with their breath and will fight to the death.
