Based on the established and widely accepted standards of Virtual Reality Modeling Language 1.0 (VRML) and Open Inventor 2.11, V-Realm Builder is a full-featured authoring package for creating 3D objects and "worlds" to be viewed with any VRML 1.0 compliant browser, including the V-Realm Browser from IDS. V-Realm Builder imports Open Inventor and VRML 1.0 files, and includes a Translator program that imports 3D Studio, AutoCAD, TrueType Fonts, Wavefront, Raw, Neutral File Formats, TPOLY and AOFF while outputting VRML 1.0 files.

V-Realm Builder is the only toolset that allows developers the convenience of direct editing of VRML nodes. No hand coding is required! Coupled with this unique feature is V-Realm Builder's intuitive interface that reduces the learning curve and increases productivity.

V-Realm Builder includes translators, as well as object, texture, transform and material libraries to allow the storage and re-use of VRML objects, textures, transforms and materials locally. Once an item has been rendered, it can be stored for re-use in different worlds you create again and again.

V-Realm Builder displays up to four simultaneous object views that are infinitely adjustable for viewpoint. Use the "cut, copy and paste" feature to move objects between VRML files. Use plain English or VRML naming conventions for scene graphs. V-Realm Builder features a Transform Editor for object placement, a Material Editor for object color, a Texture editor for object texture manipulation, a Light Editor for determining light placement and luminance, and a Camera Editor for selecting camera locations.
