Description from the packaging.

The Universal Military Simulator brought to life ancient battles of classic history. Now you can extend the life of the program with Vietnam: Scenario Disk Two. Written by historian Edward Bever, Ph.D., author of Conflict in Vietnam plus a number of strategy simulation programs, Bever brings to your screen the reality of this devastating war.

The Field of Battle: Kontum Province/Dak To.

On June 17, 1967, the "Sky Soldiers" of the Second Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade airlifted into the highlands of western Kontum province.

The foe was not the popularly imagined Viet Cong peasant clad in black pajamas and equipped with a miscellany of light weapons. Instead, it was uniformed North Vietnamese Army, armed with Automatic weapons and artillery.

The terrain, too, belied the popular conception of villages and rice paddies. Instead, the field of battle was a steamy primeval jungle. Beneath the vegetation, were steep ridgelines and twisting valleys.

The men...To have simply marched through this wilderness would have been an accomplishment. To have fought a series of bitter battles across it testifies to the incredible stamina and dedication of the soldiers on both sides.

Now, re-enact three significant firefights from the battles of Dak To.

Hill 823: October 1967, intelligence indicated that the North Vietnamese were gearing up for another thrust against Dak To. The mission of the 4th Division was to clear the region southwest of Dak To once and for all. Under these conditions, against these odds... could it be done?

Ngoh Kam Leat: Company D, under the command of Captain Thomas Baird, stumbled into a hornet's nest of enemy opposition on the slopes of Ngoh Kam Leat. Despite constant sniper fire, ground attacks and significant casualties, the Americans thwarted the NVA.

Hill 875: The fighting was heating up on all fronts as the battle of Dak To moved toward a climax. American troops switched from attack to defense as the NVA units crashed down upon them. More and more lives were lost. A victory on Hill 875 was crucial. Was it possible?

Vietnam: Scenario Disk Two expands the power of The Universal Military Simulator... The ultimate wargame simulator.
