Atlantic Salmon.
Atlantic salmon have a worldwide reputation as spectacular battlers, known for their amazing runs and cartwheeling leaps. They are smart and choosy biters, requiring light leaders to hook and skilled handling to land- big ones may top 30 pounds. Fishing for them requires a cautious approach and patient, repeated casting with traditional salmon patterns. They'll also take dry flies in low water.

Brook Trout.
Actually a member of the char family, the brilliantly colored "brookie" populates many headwater streams that are too cold and swift for other trout. Brookies frequently feed on the surface and are eager scrappers, making them favorites of light-tackle fly and spin anglers. Try a dry midge of mayfly pattern in the early evening for some fast, fun action.

Where do you start? The legendary Sol Duc, the fertile waters of the White River, or the Class IV rapids of the Deschutes? Don't worry, all these premier rivers will be at your fingertips tomorrow.

What is the perfect combination of location, lure, casting technique, water temperature and fly? Pick and choose to customize all these elements and more! Watch video tips from the experts or just experiment until you land the Big One.

Miramichi River.
As your canoe glides through the glimmering pools of the Miramichi River, you work large, brilliantly colored streamer flies across the tailouts, constantly on guard for the explosive strike of an Atlantic salmon.

Big Hole River.
Deep in the crown of the Rockies lies a jewel. Montana's Big Hole River is blue-ribbon trout fishing at its finest, offering browns, rainbows, cutthroats and brookies, all the species you need to complete the trout fishing "Grand Slam" and native graylings, too!
