Description from the packaging.
Understand the operations of a nuclear reactor by managing one yourself! Three Mile Island is a realistic simulation of a nuclear power plant with brilliant color graphics and sound effects. The nuclear containment building, the pump house, even the reactor's filter, condenser and turbine are all drawn for you. With the touch of a few keys, you control the valves, pumps, filters and turbines to keep the pressurized reactor functioning at its most effective level. You must constantly keep every piece of equipment in good repair by updating your maintenance schedule and staying within a tight budget.
As the general manager of the nuclear power plant, you must supply electricity to your customers as profitably as you can, or you will lose your license to operate. At the same time, you must prevent radiation leaks, interruption of service to your customers, and most important, a meltdown. The most powerful method of energy generation is easily understood through the entertaining challenge only Three Mile Island can provide!
