Description from the packaging.

The first Super-VGA flight simulator.
A flight simulation of the Marines at war.

Fly the U.S. Marine Corps' most advanced attack fighter- in Super-VGA!

From the flight fanatics at Domark comes the first-ever flight simulator designed to incorporate full-screen SVGA graphics technology. The instant you see the display, the result will be clear- this is not a typical flight sim. Super-VGA Harrier blows the competition out of the sky with super-fast, silky-smooth screen update- at twice the resolution! Now you can experience a much larger visual world, where objects are sharper, cleaner, and can be seen for miles.

The Marine Corps' AV-8B Harrier II is no ordinary aircraft. This bird can literally turn on a dime and stop in midair- commonly referred to as Vectoring in Forward Flight (VIFFing). The AV-8B is the most advanced Short Takeoff/Vertical Landing (STOVL) attack fighter in existence!

In SVGA Harrier, not only do you pilot one of the world's most exciting and versatile fighters, you also command an entire naval task force comprised of amphibious assault ships, warships, helicopters, troops- and your choice of any aircraft in a whole squadron of AV-8Bs!

Features:

  • Completely accurate controls and flight modeling, including STOVL and VIFFing.
  • Full range of weapons, including Rockeye, Tankbuster, and laser-guided bombs.
  • Fly up to four missions at the same time.
  • Use special forces to search out and illuminate ground targets.
  • Command the fleet, all vehicles, troops and airborne missions.
  • Superb artificial intelligence allows the computer to direct the campaign while you concentrate on flying and dogfighting.

This program is both SVGA and VGA compatible. To enjoy SVGA graphics, you will need one of the following: a Windows S3-based accelerator card; an ATI Mach 8 or 32 card; or a VESA standard video card.
