Description from the packaging.

Outplan the Crooks.
Outsmart the Cops.

Matt Tucker's back in town to pull the heist of his life... maybe the heist of all time!

Dive into the world of crime and gangsters. Plan and organize a burglary, take everything into consideration and most of all don't get caught! Stay true to your own code of conduct- do not use any violence and do not rob any innocent by-passers.

  • The Sting! offers the largest virtual 3D city ever seen in a computer game.
  • 20 Burglary targets, among them The Spam Factory, The Undertaker's, The Harbor and The Bank.
  • Wander the city and visit the numerous locations.
  • Experience a living city with people, cars and taxis.
  • Over 90 unique characters most of which can be hired for your team.
  • Over 30 cars including trucks, sports cars, etc.
  • Trick guards and disable alarm systems, cameras and laser sensors.
  • Plan every burglary in full detail with several accomplices.
  • Uncover the mystery of The Ministry of Light...

Start off as an apprentice burglar whose objective is to become the best-known criminal in town. Petty crime will not give you a place of honor among thieves, so you have to undertake the most spectacular and stylish robbery ever, "The Sting!"...

After all, there is nothing better than a good- or should we say bad reputation in the underworld. The player has to work towards this objective, increasing his fame, or rather notoriety. Getting to know the "right" people and doing successful "jobs" are the stepping-stones to this goal. However, there is no way you can do a "job" alone, you need cohorts to help you, and they all want their share of the loot. That's why it makes sense to use as few as possible. Of course, the better known they are, the better they perform.

...and then comes the sinister Ministry of Light.

For "The Sting!" JoWooD Productions has built the biggest virtual town ever seen in a computer game. You can burgle 20 large places such as the food factory and the bank. There are 70 more buildings some of which can be burgled, too. There are 60 different characters in town, most of whom are ready to commit burglary. Watch out and choose your targets carefully...
