Splish, splash, Ernie's taking a bath. But where's Rubber Duckie? Ernie can't possibly take a bath without Rubber Duckie! Luckily, children can help Ernie by building a wacky pathway that leads Rubber Duckie from his soap dish into Ernie's bathtub- a fun-filled way for children to practice planning, predicting and problem-solving.
Ernie's Big Splash encourages children to think by allowing them to create their own pathways to unite Ernie with Rubber Duckie. An open fire hydrant, a water slide, and a friendly alligator are among the many animated and colorful "watery" building pieces children connect to control the direction of Rubber Duckie's movement. Every piece that Rubber Duckie enters and exits will move him in a specific direction- up, down, left, right- but not necessarily toward the tub.
By experimenting with various directions, children discover numerous ways to guide Rubber Duckie to Ernie's tub. When a pathway has been successfully completed, Rubber Duckie will travel back and forth along it- from the soap disk to the tub- showing children the enjoyable result of their efforts to sequence the building pieces.
A step-by-step instruction manual makes learning how to play the three levels quick and easy. Featuring special guest appearances by familiar Sesame Street Muppet Fun Pals, Ernie's Big Splash delights children an it introduces them to cause and effect and spatial relationships.
This product was developed by Children's Television Workshop, producers of Sesame Street, The Electric Company, 3-2-1 Contact and Square One TV. CTW software is designed to attract and hold children's interest, providing an environment in which they can grow and learn.
