Description from the packaging.

Configures actual current weather reports into flying conditions for Microsoft Flight Simulator version 4.0 or 5.0.

Real Weather Pilot is the tool for simulator pilots that demand the ultimate in accuracy and realism. Whether you're flying Microsoft's Flight Simulator v. 4.0 or 5.0, Real Weather Pilot can access actual weather reports from almost anywhere in the country and configure them into flying conditions right there on your desktop!

Using the DUATS (Direct User Access Terminal Service) weather service (in U.S. only), weather data is downloaded to your PC. You may then view the report data, print out the report, or shell directly to Flight Simulator and experience real world flight.

Also available through DUATS are national color radar images so you can get a good look at the conditions in your destination area or just track a storm or other system. Your reports can be grouped into comprehensive preflight briefings and printed for in-flight reference.

An airport database contains all of the U.S. airports in the Flight Simulator default sceneries and can be edited to suit your itineraries. And a dedicated communications program built into Real Weather Pilot makes retrieving the latest weather reports fast and easy so you can stay current with your flight.

Now, neither rain nor snow nor sleet nor any other inclement weather will keep you grounded thanks to Real Weather Pilot.
