Description from the packaging.
Students learn the basic economic concepts of supply and demand and the free enterprise system as they set up their own business selling apples, tomato plants, and lemonade.
The three simulations in this package put the student in the role of decision maker with a variety of choices to evaluate. Each simulation teaches a different aspect of the economic market place and proceeds from the easiest concepts to the most difficult.
- In 'Sell Apples', the major objective is to determine the best price for selling apples based on the income earned.
- 'Sell Plants' emphasizes the function of advertising in the market place.
- In 'Sell Lemonade', students use their knowledge of pricing and advertising to help them make decisions about production and its effect on profit.
