Description from the packaging.

From the dawn of the pharaohs, across mountain and plain comes a game worthy of kings, Mancala.

California Dreams has brought to the modernized world, the oldest game known to man. Found in the jungles of the central region and throughout the desertlands of Northern Egypt, Africa's national game has been played by chieftains and peasants alike.

Playing against the computer or another rival, you begin with an equal number of stones placed in each of the twelve playing cups. By carefully distributing the stones one at a time among the twelve cups, each player attempts to capture the stones in the opposing territory. When a distribution ends in an opponent's cup with either one or two stones, all the stones in that cup are captured.

Mancala is a game of native strategy, wit and cunning. It requires concentration and shrewdness, but the player that can meet the challenge and capture the most stones is well rewarded with victory.
