The History of Chuckles

Not too long ago, life in the lands surrounding the Castle of Lord British was very different. The villagers and farmers that inhabit the area spent their days without the happiness that we have come to accept as a necessity in everyday life. Many in the lands had never known the joy of a hard bellylaugh and it is said that some little boys and girls in the village often went to bed hungry for a giggle and a grin.

The Lord British, keeper of the land and protector of all that is good, searched this world (and others) in search of a cure from the humdrum life that his people were doomed to. His efforts were rewarded by the finding of a court jester who could entertain the masses with his magical machinery.

The jester of Lord British was a great success. His machine and his merrymaking brought much cheer to the villagers of Britain, and was said to make happy even such unpleasable folk as the royal tax collector and Lord British's mother-in-law to be pleasant and nice. For this, the jester was knighted as Lord Chuckles, keeper of laughter and merriment and honored companion to the Lord British.

Now, with the new relationship that exists between the Lord British of England and Ken Williams of On-Line, Chuckles has decided to bring his gifts to the On-Line customer.
