Description from the packaging.
The object of L.A. Land Monopoly is to become the richest player in the game in terms of total assets-cash. property. and buildings- and to drive all your opponents into bankruptcy. This can be accomplished by buying, selling. renting and trading properties in the most profitable way. Two to six players can play L.A. Land Monopoly. The playing board, which is a map of the properties, is displayed on the screen during the game. The properties consist of freeways, utilities and various streets or boulevards arranged by color group. Ownership of all property of any one color group by a player comprises a monopoly.
The computer acts as banker. The bank pays salaries and bonuses, sells and auctions properties, loans money on mortgages and sells houses and hotels to the players. The bank also collects all taxes, fines, loans and interest, plus the price of all properties which it sells and auctions.
