Description from the packaging.

How to Catch a Wild Asparagus-Snatching Snagglysnort.
An activity-based learning adventure.

You can catch a Snagglysnort- but not inside your monitor!
How to Catch a Wild Asparagus-Snatching Snagglysnort introduces world-famous monsterologist, Colonel Picklewart. He's a scientist, don't you know- and if it's monsters you want to learn about, he can teach you!

Catching a Snagglysnort is a highly inventive adventure that takes place outside the computer as much as in! As your personal guide, the Colonel provides you with dozens of pages of supplies to print out and put together, as well as all the necessary instructions to prepare everything you'll need for your own backyard or bedroom expedition: a spotting scope, a field guide, a working monster trap, a Snagglyegg decoy, a genuine sundial, a bug net, a water-lens microscope, and official monster-hunter's passport (which doubles as a child I.D.), and even your very own pirate ship to get to Moobaba in... plus much, much more.

Inside the computer, you can match a Snagglyfly insect specimen under a microscope, discover your own monsters in the laboratory by making them yourself (there are over half a million combinations!_, and find out all about the amazing world of monsterological science and biology!

With over thirty hours of activities from the practical to the ridiculous, catching a Snagglysnort is not just interactive- it's active!

  • Let Colonel Picklewart be your personal guide to tracking a monster. There's a lot to learn, and the Colonel can teach you everything you need to know about Snagglysnorts and how to catch one!
  • Of course, you'll need a pirate ship for this expedition and you can build one yourself! Print out the twelve pages of ship parts and follow the simple on-screen instructions at your own pace.
  • Tracking a monster is sure to give you an appetite. The Colonel shares his favorite safari recipes in basic step-by-step instructions. Mud Fly Soup may sound disgusting, but it tastes delicious!
  • Write and receive your own mail from Moobaba. The Colonel supplies you with your own travel documents and official stationery and envelopes. You'll also have a safari scrap album of your own to record the memories of your expedition.
