Description from the packaging.
Summer 1989 on a hot day. The time is almost noon and the sun is overheating your car and the road. You are parked on the side of an interstate in the Arizona desert with the air conditioner on full.
From the radio comes an APB, "Alert to all units, a fugitive killer has escaped and is driving eastbound on Interstate 10 towards the state line. Use caution." "He's coming my way and the state line is close," you think, "I won't have much time to intercept him." You load the shotgun, shift your car into gear and drive away with all tires screaming in a cloud of smoke. The siren is going full blast to have everyone get out of the road.
Highway Patrol II gives you full simulator power. You control the sliding car, U-turns, tail-spins. Watch out for flat tires and empty fuel tanks. You will have to drive very fast. You may leave the road and drive through the desert, but the use of your compass and your map is mandatory. Good luck!
Once more you will prove why they call you "The Ranger!"
