Description from the packaging.
Air traffic controlled digitized audio for Microsoft Flight Simulator and Aircraft and Adventure Factory.
Air Traffic Controlled- Digitized Audio.
Peter O. Night- Tampa to St. Petersburg, Florida- Under instrument flight rules.
Oakland to Concord, California- Under Visual flight rules.
Until now, there's been something important missing from your Flight Simulator experience. Speech. Vital instructions. Weather. And navigational directions. But the Mallard Audio Controlled Flight Adventure Series adds high-quality digital audio, speech and sound effects to Flight Simulator. Custom scenery includes day and night scenes with spectacular nighttime lighting. Choose and aircraft and get ready for a sight and sound adventure.
Interact with Air Traffic Control (ATC), who'll give you a handoff to your radar vectors. If you miss VOR radials, ATC will ask if you've passed your turn point. Under Visual Flight Rules (VFR), radio navigation will get you close, but you have to find the visual reference by scanning the horizon.
Be alert, but don't worry. A repeat key will cause ATC instructions to be replayed. The Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) flight will test your concentration as you "fly blind" through a variety of violent weather conditions, trusting your instruments and radios that you're on-course.
"Cessna 36 Bravo, Oakland departure, turn right heading 200 to join V-109, climb and maintain 3000."
You may even have an emergency engine failure and the tower will direct you to an alternate landing site. Next to flying a real check-ride to test IFR and VFR skills, Flight Adventure No. 701 is as close as you can get. Take your directions, set your radios and compass, and let Air Traffic Control (ATC) guide you through the flight.
