Crown of the North takes place in the years between 1275 and 1340 in a time where nobility and the church held all the power and Sweden was about to launch into civil war. Play as Norway, Sweden or Denmark and plot to change the historical legacy of a region seldom explored.

• Choose between 3 kingdoms (Sweden, Denmark, Norway) and 6 different factions.
• Survive the treacherous political intrigues of medieval politics.
• Develop your kingdom into an economic, political and military power, but be careful not to alienate the church, nobility, peasants or the merchant class on your way to supremacy.
• Play through LAN or the Internet against friends.

Crown of the North also includes Europa Universalis II with 3 new campaign mods:

Europa Universalis II lets you take the seat as the ruler of a superpower for 400 epic years, starting in 1419 and ending with the fall of one of Europe's greatest strategists, Napoleon.

• The Alternative Grand Campaign features custom events, custom graphics and over 2,000 unique historical events.
• Independent Europe: each province in Europe is an independent nation, with its own unique flag and shields. Play one of over 230 independent city states in a cut-throat competition.
• Vinland: play as the Vikings in a world where their colonies survived in North America.
