The Red Star has once again entered Perns orbit, bringing with it the destructive Thread. As Weyr Leader, you are faced with a two-fold task. First negotiate alliances with Lord Holders and Craftmasters to form the strongest Weyr on Pern. Then once the Thread begins to fall, mount your fire-breathing dragon and shoot down the Thread in a fast paced, joystick-controlled action sequence.
Go "Between" when you or your dragon are wounded in the Thread fight. Negotiate, assassinate, or compromise in the all important strategy sessions. Ask a Craftmaster for assistance in your dealings with the Lord Holders, or go at it alone. Invite prospective allies to a wedding or a dragon hatching. Each of these events are critical to your success. Choose well, the future of your Weyr depends upon it.
