Pyrite: Fools gold- Pyrite is made of iron sulfite (44.6% iron; 53.4% sulfur). Most often found crystallized. Light yellow in color with a metallic luster. Often mistaken for gold. Pyrite was later found to have gold values and could be an important ore of gold.
If it is not plant, animal, liquid or gas it's a mineral. Without a doubt there is something romantic and fanciful about collecting treasures of semiprecious gemstones, rocks and minerals.
