Description from the packaging.

A multimedia exploration!
Includes Simon & Schuster Encyclopedia of D-Day.

On the night of June 5, 1944, the largest armada in history set sail on the single most important mission of World War II- a frontal assault on Hitler's Fortress Europa. At dawn the next day, 4,000 aircraft, 5,000 ships and over 185,000 troops unleashed a coordinated attack that would lead to the liberation of Paris within two months. Barely thirty days later, two million Allied soldiers would launch the final assault on the German Fatherland itself, freeing an entire continent from the nightmare of Nazi domination.

Now, the campaign that turned the tide of modern history has been recreated down to the last detail in "D-Day, The Battle that changed History!" Enriched with video, graphics, audio and animations, this program takes you to the invasion beaches. From voice-over commentary to "you-are-there" sound clips, the realism is astonishing. D-Day will bring to life this famous page in history, both for those too young to remember the war, and those old enough never to forget it.
