Description from the packaging.
Fun With Experts, games in which you play a key role in real life drama. Test your wits against the experts. Assume their roles. Enter their minds, let your feelings and perceptions and knowledge lead you into realms of exciting, far-ranging topics.
You are the presiding judge as case after case is brought before the court. Years in development, with dozens of categories and thousands of crimes, this challenging test of your decision-making powers is educational and fun.
Review the details of the crime, sift through evidence and testimony, analyze the defendant's record of arrests and convictions, and request expert assistance as you accumulate the information necessary to reach your decision.
The player's sentencing decision in each case is measured against those of actual judges in similar cases. An on-screen tutorial provides information and insight into the operations of the criminal justice system.
Parental Discretion Advised. Contains realistic subject matter, with references to crimes of violence and sexual behavior which may be offensive. This game is based on actual cases which have come before presiding judges in the criminal justice system. Because it is a realistic representation of the entire range of those cases, it contains references to criminal activities involving illegal drugs, violence and sexual behavior. These references are presented in the context of the player judging and sentencing persons convicted of such acts just as in real life.
Crime and Punishment is based on volumes of government research on sentencing guidelines. It was developed by professors Jack Kress and Graeme Newman, criminal justice experts who have spent years analyzing the sentencing practices of judges.
Game program designed by Rick Oliver. Graphics designed by Matthew S. C. Sarconi.
