Description from the packaging.

When superpowers did collide!

Only five years after World War II, the United States was embroiled in another bitter conflict, this time against North Korea- and the million-plus "volunteer" army of China!

Conflict: Korea concentrates on the first year, which was marked by massive military dynamics- invasion, retreats, counterattacks and counter-counterattacks. Three historical scenarios let you become General MacArthur or the commander of North Korean Forces:

  • The Dragon Wakes (June 1950-June 1951). Play the campaign game, starting with the invasion of South Korea by the North.
  • Operation Chromite (September 1950-June 1951). Focus on MacArthur's Inchon counterattacks and the subsequent U.N. drive through North Korea.
  • Cold Steel (November 1950-June 1951). Re-enact the massive counter-counter offensive by the Chinese Army.

Plus a hypothetical 1995 scenario, where the U.S.- heavily engaged elsewhere in the world- plays a limited role.

Six levels of difficulty makes this simulation ideal for the novice and battle-hardened wargamer. Set at the regiment/division level, Conflict: Korea lets you control every detail of combat- down to the individual platoons, vehicles and gun tubes! You can choose to have the computer direct air operations while you control the land war.

The Korean War, overshadowed by the trauma of Vietnam, has become the "Forgotten War." The excitement and authenticity of this superb simulation makes it an unforgettable experience!

Conflict: Korea was designed by Norm Koger, Jr., author of SSI's Red Lightning and Conflict: Middle East.
Playing time: 6 hours per scenario.
20+ Hours for campaign game.
