Players compete to acquire the largest fortune by starting, selling, and investing in hotel chains. Just like its board game counterpart, this is done by shrewdly buying the right stock at the right time, merging chains to obtain capital, and adding hotels to chains in which you have controlling interest to increase their value.

Acquire, first introduced to the public in 1962, is one of just a handful of strategy games to survive several decades. It is now listed among the world's "best 100 games" according to Games Magazine. Microcomputer Games, Inc., now brings you this same strategy game in software format without sacrificing any of the inter-player aspects that has made Acquire the classic game it is.

There are three ways to run Computer Acquire on your computer.

1. You can play against the computer.

2. Play against friends, with the computer acting as record keeper. Up to six can play!

3. Watch the computer play against itself (a great way to learn its strategy).
