Description from the packaging.

It's Ranch! Create and animate wild west scenes with a slew of critters, characters, and shapes. Git along and have fun!

Have you ever daydreamed about life in the wild west? Imagine a scene set out in the desert on a starry night, a wagon train by a campfire. A coyote howls at the moon. Then- Indians! Now what?

Or maybe your scene is set in a corral, where a cowboy is breaking in some colts as his best buddy leans on the fence. He doesn't see the rattlesnake at his feet as it coils, ready to strike. What happens next?

Whatever you want. Because this is Ranch, a game that lets you create and animate your own wild west scenes. You start with a blank screen, and populate it from a range of people, objects, and critters. You can color, copy, move, erase, or animate shapes—the only limit is your own imagination!

Ranch comes with suggested scenes and stories to spark a child's imagination. And the enclosed activities workbook outlines all sorts of fun western projects- like how to make a broomstick horse, how to cook a cowboy meal, and how to tell a tall tale.

Joyce Hakansson Associates, creator of Ranch, is a team or artists, writers, educators, and programmers working together to create innovative software for children.

Educational Value: Ranch encourages children to experiment creatively with composition, design, and spatial relationships. It also teaches them to select, retrieve, and manipulate information using a simple command menu. Ages 5-10.
