Description from the packaging.

At the request of your superiors in Earth Special Intelligence, you have been volunteered to work on a top secret mission for the Terran government. Recently, an Alien starship crashed in the Sol system and was recovered by the Terran Space Forces. The starship has been repaired as best as possible (we think) and you have been chosen to take it on an advanced intelligence gathering mission. Of particular interest to your superiors, is the increase of Robot ships that have been entering the Sol system. Gather intelligence, find out what you can and act in Earth's best interests. Hopefully, Earth will soon replicate Alien star-faring technology and send additional ships to join you.

Until then, you're on your own.
Good luck!

Welcome Nomad, to a unique universe of exploration, warfare, diplomacy and mystery. Change strategies as quickly as your mood in deciding whether to fight, trade, or simply let the storyline take you on an incredible journey. It's possible to solve this stellar mystery without firing a single shot. Featuring brilliantly rendered 3-D graphics, cinematic views, digitized voices, and an engaging sense of humor, your mission is entertaining in every dimension. Interact with over 11 Alien races, represented by over 150 fully animated aliens, each with their own language, personality, physical characteristics, and artificial intelligence.

Be warned: These Aliens never forget how they've been treated by a player, and will take that into account in future encounters! With a storyline equivalent to a 900 page novel, Nomad is an immense, multi-layered adventure that adapts to every level, style and characteristic of each player, right down to naming your own starship! Nomad is everything you'd want in an interactive adventure.
