Description from the packaging.

Formerly Moonbase. Now includes sound, VGA graphics and scoring enhancements. Lunar colony simulator. Design. Plan. Build. Lead. Motivate. Control.

Unlike earth-bound simulators, controlling Lunar Command means you have to supply the oxygen, power, heat and shelter for the entire colony. You start with the virgin Lunar plain, rich in minerals and elements but alien to everything human. Establish your shelters and life-support facilities while keeping a wary eye on your population, supplies and support levels from Earth. If you delay making money your colony will fail. You succeed only if your city becomes self sufficient.

Precise control of landing craft retro rockets will ensure a better landing and a better score. To keep the simulation challenging, random catastrophes, epidemics, nuclear meltdowns and even the crash of a landing craft will keep you on your toes. If you don't build enough shelters or recreation facilities, workers' unions will call a strike, temporarily crippling the colony you have built. Just when you think it's calm, radiation poisoning causes a rover crew to go over the edge of sanity, becoming a major liability to your command.

Lunar Command is a major leap in simulation quality. Leap into the future, into space and into your own psyche as you explore your wisdom, leadership and planning abilities in a world almost a quarter of a million miles from home.

You place communications centers, manufacturing facilities, shelters and other vital elements into your colony and monitor their activity.

Detailed windows allow you to control crucial functions within your colony. Your survival or demise depends on you!
