Description from the packaging.
You cannot be crowned as France's blue-blooded King, until you prove yourself in red-blooded warfare.
You are the young Dauphin, Charles VII, born to be King of France. The year is 1429 and your homeland is torn by warfare. The hated English and Burgundians have already occupied much of fair France. But now the tide is turning.
Leading your armies is Joan, a 17-year-old maiden whose visions have inspired your people. Her first mission is to help you battle your way to Reims, where you'll be crowned. Your coronation is, however, only the start of your struggle. Victory will not be complete until all of France is united under your rule.
As King, you can collect taxes and raise armies. Negotiate for towns and prisoners. Dispatch your spies and dispense royal justice- including bloody executions! You'll face dozens of crucial battles and decisions, any of which could mean freedom for your people... or cruel slavery. You'll need the wisdom of a king, the valor of a soldier... and the spirit of a saint.
This unique adventure brings history to vibrant life. As in real life, actions in one area affect the outcome in others. There are so many locales, characters and options that the game may be played over and over without losing its excitement and challenge. Emphasize strategy one time, diplomacy the next. Reassign generals and see how it affects the outcome. You won't merely relive history- you'll rewrite it!
