Description from the packaging.
It's the year 2027. You, the player are one of possibly only a handful of humans left alive following a nuclear holocaust which has reduced the city of Chicago to a smoldering poisonous ruin. Based on this premise, Robert Bonifacio, designer of the exciting action game "Richard Petty's Talladega" has created the ultimate test of survival, in this unsurpassed 3-D action text-adventure with scores of scrolling graphics.
Imagine: you have survived because you discovered an experimental, high-tech robotic space suit which, at least for the time being, protects you from the terminally toxic atmosphere and lets you move freely about the city. You begin your quest for survival and explore the environment via the 3-D scrolling scenes, all of which you can see from your viewpoint inside the robotic suit's helmet.
You pick through the wreckage. You search for food, weapons and fuel. You activate "sleeping" computers to find the keys to survival. And, you attempt to find other humans, while fighting off roaming bands of genetic mutants... grim reminders of what humans used to be.
You convert a vehicle into a part-time, mobile war machine, stock-pile supplies and maintain your base at the airport until you can escape... or, until you, yourself, succumb to the horrors of the genetic "change."
Best of all, you issue all command, messages and actions with fingertip ease by using the joystick.
The 3-D action, the color, the adventure. They're all yours in Delta Man, challenging both your intellect and your instincts like no other action text-adventure ever before!
