Description from the packaging.

Long ago, in the northeast reaches of the world, was the land of Osbeorht. It was a pleasant, prosperous and peaceful land, that was ruled by a Princess called Gwendolen and her brother, Prince Beorht. That time was known as the Third Age of Osbeorht.

Today, desolation, fog and Cedrid hordes, under the rule of the demon Wizard Eoghan, cover the country. Gwendolen and Beorht lost their land to the wizard Eoghan. In this dark hour, the good Wizard Eidel bestowed great magic on Gwendolen's helm. He gave her an amulet with six stones that had great magical powers. Armed with the amulet and the helm, Gwendolen challenged the evil Eoghan, but his powers proved to overwhelming for her. When she passed from this mortal plane, she made her last and greatest magic. She hid the amulet in one of the temples of Rhyangioth, and the stones in the Scylfdun castle. Of the helm there was no news.

Will you search for the amulet? The dangers you will face are all too real. There are no promises of great riches, though great treasures. Wander through vast forests and desolate swamps, battling witty monsters from the land of Osbeorht. Enter and search each castle and temple to find the amulet and gain great magical powers. Much experience is needed before the helm of Gwendolen can reveal itself to you. If you succeed, Osbeorht will be restored to its former splendor - because you dared to search for The Amulet.
